Himala Samajik Sanstha (HSS)

Himala Samajik Sanstha (HSS) is a non-profit making organization registered under Societies Registration Act 21 of 1860. HSS has been working in Bageshwar district since 2003. HSS has been striving for the betterment of the most deprived and marginalized section of the society so that no one remains hungry, unemployed, uneducated and exploited as its target group since inception. HSS journey is 21 years.

History

Himala Samajik Sanstha (HSS) was formed in 2003 by a group of social activists getting inspired by great freedom fighters and social educators like Mahatma Gandhi, Acharya Vinoba Bhave and Loknayak Jaiprakash Narayan. It works in Bageshwar district in Uttarakhand. The Vision of Himala Samajik Sanstha (HSS) is to establish a people led society where no one remains hungry, unemployed, uneducated and exploited and the mission is to empower poor people through social cohesiveness and livelihood creation with special emphasis on socio-economic empowerment of Rural and Urban Dalit, Minorities, Deprived Section like farmers, unemployed youth, illiterate demos, labors and destitute women & children. We have a good infrastructure and competent human resources.

The Mission and Vision

The mission is to empower rural and urban the poor through social cohesiveness and livelihood creation. HSS gives special emphasis on socio economic empowerment of most deprived section including neglected poor downtrodden and other communities & to educate children (Male & Female both) of these section (deprived section) at least to primary level.

The vision of Himala Samajik Sanstha is to established a people led society where no remains hungry, unemployed, uneducated and exploited.

  • Establish and run Yoga & Naturopathy hospital & dispensary.
