Himala Samajik Sanstha (HSS) was built in 2003 by a group of social activists who devoted themselves to the noble cause of society with the great ideology of Konark sir social reformers like Mahatma Gandhi, Acharya Vinoba Bhave, Loknayak Jaiprakash Narayan. HSS is situated in the Bageshwar district of Uttrakhand, and works very actively for the welfare of such people who are still unfed, unemployed, unidentified and unempowered.

At Himala Samajik Sanstha, we are dedicated to creating a positive impact in our community through our work in four key sectors

We believe in the power of education to transform lives. Our initiatives focus on providing quality education to underprivileged children, offering scholarships, and organizing skill development programs to empower individuals with the knowledge and tools they need to succeed.

Our commitment to the environment is reflected in our various green initiatives. We organize tree plantation drives, promote sustainable practices, and work towards the conservation of natural resources to ensure a healthier planet for future generations.

Access to quality healthcare is a fundamental right. We conduct health camps, provide medical assistance to those in need, and raise awareness about important health issues. Our goal is to ensure that every individual in our community has access to the healthcare services they deserve.

We strive to create a more informed and conscious society. Our programs aim to raise awareness about social issues, promote gender equality, and advocate for the rights of marginalized communities. We believe that social change begins with awareness and education.

Education

Himala Social Society, established in 2003, also runs a Himala Public Primary School in Bageshwar district of Uttarakhand, which has a student strength of over 200. The school is also providing excellent education from the hands of trained teachers in various subjects including music, computers and environmental studies.

Environment

Himala Samaj Sanstha has been running a multi-year initiative “Environment Conservation Campaign” with the Indian Ministry of Environment since 2008 to promote environmental awareness.

Social Awareness

Under the voter awareness campaign, the organization conducted various programs in Bageshwar district.

With the cooperation of Uttarakhand Forest Department, the organization launched a public awareness campaign to protect forests from fire.
