Welcome to Himala Samajik Sanstha
Helping Today
Helping Tommorow
Himala Samajik Sanstha (HSS) was built in 2003 by a group of social activists who devoted themselves to the noble cause of society with the great ideology of Konark sir social reformers like Mahatma Gandhi, Acharya Vinoba Bhave, Loknayak Jaiprakash Narayan. HSS is situated in the Bageshwar district of Uttrakhand, and works very actively for the welfare of such people who are still unfed, unemployed, unidentified and unempowered. Seeking to draw on these strategies of visionary leaders, HSS envisions a society in which people themselves are enabled to change their lives for the better and their surroundings.
The organization aims at socio-economic development, with much concern to uplift the standards of Rural and Urban Dalits, minorities, farmers, jobless youths, illiterates, labourers, and destitute females and kids. In a social way and building people’s assets, HSS aims at eradicating the push factors of poverty and injustice hence developing a sustainably better society for everyone.

MISSION
Himala Samajik Sanstha (HSS) is a non-government organization which mainly works for the betterment of the overall deprived people of the rural and urban areas. We work to promote unity and ensure that equality within society is achieved to minimize the instances of people being trapped in poverty.
The activities of our mission target the least privileged in the Socio-economic setting – the Dalits, minorities, and the economically marginalized. Their socio-economic upliftment is always sought, and at least primary education for boys and girls in such communities
VISION
Himala Samajik Sanstha’s vision is to create a society where people take the lead in determining the basic needs of all, such as food, education and employment. HSS work is oriented towards creating favourable conditions for individual and community development, with priority given to those with fewer opportunities. By doing so, Avondale aspires to advance the well-being of people with disabilities and other marginalized groups for a better tomorrow.
