Our organization, Himala Samajik Sanstha, has also been working to solve health problems in Bageshwar district since our formation in the year 2003. The program aims to sensitise people, project people, and villagers on various health issues, provide training, and run campaigns for the development of the health status of people living in rural areas. Our initiatives cover almost all aspects of health, and the areas of concern include fighting against AIDS as well as tuberculosis and promoting hygiene.
We have conducted AIDS awareness programmes in more than one Gram Panchayat with the financial support of the Uttarakhand State AIDS Control Committee. Our belief behind such campaigns is to make the rural population aware of the prevention, testing and treatment of AIDS.
Himala Samajik Sanstha runs tuberculosis eradication awareness campaigns in Bageshwar district in collaboration with Mamta Samajik Sanstha, Dehradun. It is a compassionate program aimed at identifying and helping people suffering from tuberculosis and providing vital information about the disease.
Under Swachh Bharat Mission, we support awareness programmes run by Swajal Project Uttarakhand in all three development blocks of Bageshwar district. In this activity, we focus on hygiene and ways to avoid disease.
With the support of the Swajal Project, our organization has established and implemented solid and liquid waste management plans in 60 Gram Panchayats in Garun Vikas Khand. This initiative is a strategy to enhance the quality of waste management and disposal and reduce the health risks arising from poor waste management.
These awareness programs have been launched in Bageshwar district by Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan Sangathan. These programs focus on sanitation and disease prevention in the areas, which will reduce health complications among people in rural areas.
Under the Swajal Project, Himala Samajik Sanstha provides training to panchayat representatives and Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) workers of all gram panchayats of Bageshwar district. The training aims to assess and promote drinking water quality, a key factor in combating diseases linked to water decentralisation.
This campaign executes various awareness programs launched to fight drug addiction. We help inform people about the dangers of drug use and help them overcome addiction.
Himala Samajik Sanstha has significantly improved the health landscape of Bageshwar district through focused efforts on disease prevention, health education, and community empowerment. Their work in combating AIDS, tuberculosis, and promoting sanitation has led to measurable positive outcomes for the community.
